WHAT IS THIS ZINE THING HERE?✦ As the 20th Anniversary of "Lilo & Stitch" approached, a bunch of us artists decided to try and tackle a fanzine for the project, with art, stories and several a fan taking to the scene to celebrate. We intend on this zine to be a celebration of not just the original "Lilo & Stitch" films and TV shows, but also the numerous spin-offs and media that followed, from Yuna Kamihara to Wang Ai Ling to even Meison Yamato. We want this to be a celebration of 'ohana, through and through!------------------------------------------------------WHAT IS GOING INTO THE ZINE?✦ There's to be five sections of this zine for the public to see in this order:- Comics!
Self-explanatory, these will be few page adventures focusing on members of the 'ohana, both official and fanon, with a focus on the franchise's core fundamentals.- Artwork!
Also self-explanatory, these will be art pieces contributed by the many artists of the "Lilo & Stitch" fandom. These will range from new pieces and also old pieces from over the years too.- Prose!
Prose will feature short stories and excerpts from fandom's stories. These will focus on the many members of the 'ohana in varying lights.- OCs!
OCs or original characters (do not steal) will shine a spotlight on the many creations and characters who come from the fandom's heart. These can range from new Experiments to even brand new takes on existing mainstays.- "What 'Ohana Means to Me"!
The cherry atop our zine sundae, this section has several fans, including the writers and artists contributing, giving what the franchise and what the term 'ohana means to them.------------------------------------------------------WHAT IS THE AGE RATING FOR THE ZINE?✦ We intend on this to be at least PG to PG-13, much like the age rating on the original film. Some content may tread into darker territory, but we are trying to keep things close to that marker.------------------------------------------------------ARE SHIPS ALLOWED?✦ We do include a few, yes! There's mostly OC or fan ships, but romance is also a key part of 'ohana, so we couldn't not include that.------------------------------------------------------CAN I APPLY OR SUBMIT SOMETHING?✦ As we're gearing up for a release later this month, if you can manage it within deadlines, then feel free to contact us contributors with either new or old work for the occasion, be it art or writing. The due date for such art, writing or comics is June 14th, 2022. In addition, at this current time, the OCs and What 'Ohana Means to Me sections are closed. Thanks for your understanding!------------------------------------------------------WILL THIS ZINE BE MADE PHYSICAL?✦ That may be something to consider for the future, but for now, we're focusing on a digital-only .PDF launch for free. This will be linked on our site and on social media via Google Drive later. If we can do so, we'll take to the official zine Twitter and announce it, thank you!------------------------------------------------------HOW CAN I SUPPORT THE ARTISTS AND WRITERS INVOLVED?✦ Either follow those individuals on social media or feel free to commission them if they have the option open! Any and all guidelines can be accessed via a Google Doc as well, provided by the zine organizers.✦ Any and all submissions can be submitted for inclusion either via individual e-mail, Google Drive or Dropbox.✦ There's no real limit on inclusions or pieces for the zine, but try to be courteous as to let other contributors have their time to shine too. 'Ohana means including everybody.✦ OCs are allowed in our zine, as they are an extension of the creativity and longevity of the franchise. For 20 years, we would be daft not to include fans' hard work!✦ Excerpts from old fan works and artwork are very much encouraged. If you have a piece you're proud of, send it!✦ We are aiming for a release on either June 21st, 2022 in time for the 20th Anniversary of the original "Lilo & Stitch" movie or if more time is necessary, June 26th, 2022 in time for Stitch Day (6/26), as to allow for every portion of the zine to come together.✦ We will not be accepting NSFW pieces or literature in any form, as this zine is intended for the whole 'ohana.✦ Last, but certainly not least, have fun~!

He/him. An Experiment who keeps tabs on new things and new merch based on the franchise. At least, we're pretty sure he's an Experiment. 95% sure.

He/him. Creator over a massive fan series within our 'ohana space ("Stitch Triverse"). Artist and writer, loves the ocean, gaming, animation and talking nostalgia. He also lost the memo about plaid on purpose. It's always fashionable. Always.

She/they. Pretty sure they're an alien ram. Creates cute artwork with a degree in illustration. Also has a significant love for animation. But you didn't hear it from us!

He/she/they. Writer, artist and a fan of Experiments and magical girls. Loves beach trips, animation and sweets. Expect all of this and a few surprises along the way!

He/him. Some say this "Man Who Sold The World" owns a vinyl library that influences his own 'ohana-themed writing. Some also say he has an Angel that plays guitar? We know him as a friend though. Full stop!

He/him. Loves fuzzy things and friendship. Inspired by Japanese animation and cartoons to create. And we can relate! A true heart through and through.

They/them. Multi-fandom artist who conquers with shippings and fluff. Did we mention their art's shiny? Their art's shiny. Very much so.

He/him. An artist who we believe may be an Experiment himself. Aspires to be a game designer, but has amassed an army of future series Experiments already. What will he do with them? Time will tell.

She/her. An artist and writer with an affinity towards our blue Experiment, an atomic robot and a psychic pocket monster. Loves music and her family. The name Mokushi Jiro ring bells?

He/him. A longtime fan of the 'ohana who loves waxing the cool in his art. He's also making an Experiment fighting game. And that's insanely cool!

She/her. Tried and true lover of video games and fuzz. A self-proclaimed alien ferret lion... okay, that sounds wicked as heck, real talk.

She/her. Fan of various types of blue characters and artist over the very same ones. Creates neat things off and on the computer screen!

She/him. Artist and writer over myriads of cute things! Also an avid fan of the Tri-State Area too. But we do also mean cute things. Expect cute things!

He/him. Known among the community of 'ohana as an incredible artist, both traditionally and digitally. Big fan of Jumba and Pleakley too, to the point of having a fanchild. If you haven't, definitely keep tabs on them!

He/him. A fan with many a history with the Stitch franchise, his characters have been spotted all over the place. And surprise! He's still around! Rib is his friendly OC, say hi if you get a chance!

She/her. Artist with a stylized and psuedo-realistic vibe to her, carried by comics and espionage to make it that extra bit sweeter! Multi-fandom and multizine, Tannuki's work shines.

She/they. A Stitch fan with a unique art style and expression! Not much else is known about Domi aside from their love of animation, but their art is certain to speak levels.

He/him. Inspired by JRPGs and cool character designs to do what he does best. And lots of cool colouring too. Expect some singing to Japanese songs and a sketchy yet detailed art style!

She/her. One of our fandom's longest lasting members easily. Multi-fandom. May or may not actually be a rabid Leroy, but does have art, writing and so much more for those who befriend her!
